Fertility & Women's Health

In Chinese medicine, there is a root imbalance that is causing gynecological problems. By treating this imbalance, you can eliminate or greatly improve these problems and symptoms associated with them.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine can treat the following gynecological conditions:
Amenorrhea
Cervical Dysplasia
Pregnant Endometriosis
Fibrocystic Breasts
Fibroids
Infertility
Irregular Menses
Menopause
Menorrhagia/Metorrhagia
Premenstrual Syndrome

FERTILITY
Fertility issues are at the forefront of reproductive health for both men and women. Chinese medicine has been supporting fertility for thousands of years through acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet, and lifestyle recommendations. Whether you are trying to conceive on your own or with the assistance of modern technology, Traditional Chinese medicine can help.

TCM is extremely effective in conditions that can affect fertility in the areas of:
Menstrual cycle irregularities
Hormonal/endocrine imbalances
Endometriosis
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
Autoimmune conditions
Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
Fibroids
Chronic illness
Medications

Medical Studies have indicated that TCM has been shown to:
Improve egg quality
Regulate the menstrual cycle
Treat endometriosis and fibroids
Increase circulation to the ovaries and uterus
Regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis
Improve sperm count and motility
Dramatically improve success rates for IVF patients

The Fertile Soul: Fertility-Enhancing Retreats and ProgramsFertile Soul™ programs promote health of body, mind, and spirit using Taoist, traditional Chinese, and modern therapies. These practices reconnect us with our natural roots, identify and gently correct physical imbalances, limiting beliefs and habits, and encourage the unobstructed flow of the life force through us.

The Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program™ (CEFP) is a professional community of highly-skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioners who follow The Fertile Soul program in our own lives and healing, and in our approach to patient care. We excel in Chinese medical diagnosis and prescription of dietary and nutritional therapy, qi gong, meditation, reproductive massage, acupuncture, and herbal medicine to support deep inner healing, enhance fertility and overcome reproductive and related dysfunction.

Through continuing education, ongoing support from The Fertile Soul, retreat processes, and shared information, members of our healing community keep abreast of the latest research and fertility-enhancing treatments incorporating acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Western reproductive medicine, and complementary body-mind-spirit therapies, and collaborate to resolve complex patient cases. As CEFP practitioners, we commit to healing methods which make us particularly accomplished at assisting patients with the complex physical, mental, and emotional issues surrounding their reproductive health.

MENOPAUSE
Menopause is a natural life transition. We offer tools to reduce menopausal symptoms, improve the quality of life, and balance hormones naturally.

Since the Women’s Health Initiative Study (July, 2002) found that standardized HRT could cause cancer, there has been increased interest in natural alternatives to hormone replacement therapy.

We evaluate hormone imbalances with state of the art testing to find the contributing factors that can make menopausal symptoms worse such as blood sugar imbalances, adrenal stress and thyroid hormone levels.

Many herbal combinations offer relief and promote healthy aging without side effects. Acupuncture helps restore balance to the body/mind and treat many of the symptoms of menopause.
